Less Cost
By integrating several shipments in one, and charging only a portion of the truck, the shipment cost reduces significantly. Thus, shippers stop paying for moving just air, in not truly full FTLs.
Shippers who opt for STLs over LTLs will save on those crazy volume quotes that current LTLs are charging today for shipments over 10-12 ft. Also, they will avoid sneaky and hidden fees, such as charges in re-classification and re-weighting that LTL slips inside their invoices.

Less Time in Transit
LTL shipments changing to STLs, get the extra benefit of an FTL time in transit. If this were not enough, STL has a weekend advantage, freight can be picked up or delivered and still move on Saturdays and Sundays. On the other hand, LTL carriers do not work on weekends.
With Blue’s Shared Truckload option, shippers do not need to wait until they get enough material to fill a trailer, they can ship “Partial FTL” size shipments whenever they want, enjoying the benefits of a regular FTL time in transit times.

Less Damage
With the STLs “Milkrun'' process, goods are touched only at pickup and delivery. As a result, the probability of damages or losses is considerably reduced. In contrast, the LTL carrier hub and spoke network is designed to get goods unloaded and reloaded in several terminals during their transit, increasing the likelihood of troubles. STL prevents frequent and unnecessary product manipulation.
STL shipments are 99.998% damage free. Far better than any LTL carrier.
Less CO2
By maximizing truckload space and weight, with Shared Truckloads, Blue eliminates the inefficient use of several trucks and/or LTL shipments. Furthermore, Blue reduces the total miles that these trucks, full of air, run to deliver multiple shipments. As a consequence, Blue reduces the total CO2 emissions.
Blue5PL reduces by an average of 38% the greenhouse gas emissions, by combining shipments and avoiding several FTL with empty space or inefficient LTL rides.
